About the Role
The Product Line Manager (PLM) is a sales and product management role with the responsibility for driving the sales performance and overall success of the company’s product portfolio. The PLM will support Savant Labs by applying a customer-centric, business-focused mindset to identify and develop opportunities to their full market potential, while serving as a leader with product sales efforts. The PLM is responsible for defining and optimizing the ideal mix of products, pricing strategies, distribution channels, and promotional initiatives to meet business objectives.
The PLM will engage, develop, enable, and enhance the company’s offerings. The PLM will become the subject matter expert, including technical and market trends and how they affect the product and service roadmap, competitive analysis, developing sales strategies, performing product demonstrations, gathering VOC, and assisting with new product launches. This role requires a willingness to meet and inspire customers while working independently and within a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer & Market Insight: Engage with customers and conduct market research to capture needs, identify trends, and inform product strategy.
- Strategic Product Planning: Define market requirements, build business cases, and develop go-to-market plans aligned with customer needs and business goals.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full product lifecycle, including performance tracking, revenue analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue growth opportunities and partnerships that enhance the product portfolio.
- Financial Oversight: Manage product line P&L, pricing strategies, and product mix to ensure profitability and competitive positioning.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to align messaging, execution, and product development.
- Marketing Support: Provide content for promotional materials, websites, social media, and internal/external communications.
- Launch & Promotion: Drive product launches through channel planning, consumer messaging, and presence at trade shows and industry events.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor KPIs, conduct post-launch reviews, and ensure compliance with industry standards and documentation requirements.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships through direct interactions, product demonstrations, and presenting to various audiences.
