Position: Full-Time Hybrid or Onsite School Psychologist in Illinois (Greater Chicago Area)
Location: Elementary School (Grades K–5)
Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year
Join a highly collaborative and well-supported team at a K-5 elementary building that also houses a robust Autism Program with three structured ASD classrooms. We’re seeking a School Psychologist who is student-centered, team-oriented, and passionate about inclusive and data-informed practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as LEA representative and facilitator for domain and eligibility meetings using a Facilitated IEP (FIEP) model that promotes parent-friendly, strengths-based conversations.
- Lead reevaluations and initial evaluations (40 anticipated throughout the year); support data collection and analysis in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attend and contribute to MTSS meetings and student success problem-solving teams, helping determine need for case study or intervention adjustments.
- May serve as 504 Case Manager for students with learning-related needs.
- Collaborate weekly with special education teams and building-level interventionists to support student progress and program alignment.
- Use Embrace for documentation and reporting; contribute to team-based report writing using a shared report template.
Team & Support Structure
- Work under the guidance of the District Psych Lead with monthly team meetings to review compliance updates, share resources, and align on best practices.
- Supported by building-level administrators, including a principal with a background in school psychology, an assistant principal, instructional specialists, and special education coordinators.
- Special education coordinators serve as LEAs for annual reviews—school psychologists are not expected to attend those meetings.
- Collaborate closely with social workers, special educators, and interventionists for FBAs, BIPs, and student behavior supports (psychologist contributes, but SW leads BIP work).
Ideal Candidate
- Current Illinois School Psychologist License
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with a commitment to family engagement.
- Comfortable guiding data-driven conversations and supporting MTSS decision-making.
- Values collaborative assessment practices and interdisciplinary teaming.
- Familiarity with Embrace or similar IEP platforms preferred.

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
