Our Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of the facility and all equipment. You will manage equipment set-up, preventative and predictive maintenance, and handle spare parts. You will lead the team by developing the strategies and tactics necessary to create value and achieve the Core Purpose of the organization – Great Place to Work, Long Term Profitable Growth, Provide World Class Customer Satisfaction, and Have a Positive Impact on the Communities in which We Work. We are looking for someone with hands-on maintenance / equipment repair experience and a strong motivator with the ability to lead a larger organization to a better future state.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support and improve the company’s EHS management and training programs – modeling the desired behaviors to all employees
- Participate with other Operations Leadership Team members and the Shared Services Team (HR, IS, Finance) members to create the future state necessary to achieve the company’s goals with a high focus on equipment reliability and effectiveness
- Lead and coach team members, driving the achievement of company goals across all metrics and focus means
- Review and recommend changes to procedures, policies, goals, and standards to the appropriate leadership teams
- Assess performance versus plan, reporting findings
- Ensure the appropriate communication structure is in place to appropriate leadership teams
- Develop relationships of trust and mutual accountability
- Create effective teams, ensuring team leaders and team members receive the necessary development, understanding expectations, and holding all accountable for performance and behavior
- Ensure the maintenance plan (predictive, preventative, and break down repair) is up to date and continually reviewed for improvement
- Collaborate with our Product Line teams to ensure critical spare parts are identified, stocked and replenished when needed
- Ensure all product line continuous improvement and daily monitoring efforts are supported with maintenance and reliability engineering resources – including chartering and executing projects
- Partner with stakeholders to prioritize maintenance work requests
- Review capital investment projects for long term maintenance and reliability of equipment
- Collaborate with R&D and process development to scale-up and validate new equipment processing techniques to improve quality, costs, and/or asset utilization
- Review and approve all purchasing for repair and replacement of equipment, maintenance tools and services
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers of maintenance services and parts
- Ensure an active risk management and mitigation process is in place and stays up to date
- Negotiate with strategic vendors when needed
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in engineering preferred or equivalent experience in a maintenance role
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in a maintenance role as part of a manufacturing company
- Maintenance supervisor or maintenance planning experience preferred
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer operation with the ability to work with SAP, Excel, Word, and MP2/CMMS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment
At times, you will be exposed to cold or hot, dusty and noisy surroundings. You must be able to wear a respirator.
