SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The food server is responsible to maintain the company’s top-quality standards by serving every guest in a warm, friendly, and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Check with manager for station assignment.
- Assist in setting up dining room.
- Become familiar with table numbers and restaurant layout.
- Familiarity with menu items and dietary ingredients.
- Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage.
- Actively take orders, giving suggestions, conduct full and complete food and beverage service and monitor guests during their dining experience.
- Ring orders into POS and ensure delivery of all items ordered in a timely fashion and prepared correctly..
- Process cash and credit card charges.
- Abide by all state and federal food handling laws.
- Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age if serving alcohol
- 1-2 years server experience required
- Knowledge of food and spirits.
- Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
- Sense of urgency and prioritization
- Ability to success in a deadline driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to multi-task and remain positive in busy working conditions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Schedule flexibility including nights and weekends where necessary
