Description
Slabe Machine Products is looking to add two Final Inspector's to our second shift staff which runs Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm to 2:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility-interpret customer requirements when inspecting products while sitting at desktop and periodically under amplified lighting and magnification.
- Use standard visual inspection methods and techniques for general and customer specific requirements. Reference sources documents. Obtain access to inspection history files including customer returns, prints and special characteristics as defined in customer specifications.
- Develop and document inspection findings on IMS Form per inspection lot thus validating customer requirements. Ensure deployment of latest print revision (document control) at the inspection level for all orders processed in final inspection.
- Communicate product nonconformance to the Supervisor – then they will initiate effective corrective/preventive action.
- Train new employees in final inspection procedures.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings routinely with production schedulers (impacting on-time delivery) and in-process inspectors (impacting yield).
- Verify equipment calibration of measurement equipment prior to use.
- Aerospace requirements dictate all products be free of contaminants and FOD (Foreign Objects) prior to final inspection/application. All inspections must be performed under controlled conditions which include air conditioning, dust free atmosphere to ensure FOD Aerospace product quality requirements.
- Lift 25-35lbs daily
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Aerospace, Defense, Medical Inspection experience.
- Blueprint reading / GD&T Code knowledge.
- Courses in statistical control, ISO requirements, computer basics preferred but not mandatory.
