The Slice Pizzeria was founded in 2004 and since then has provided San Antonio with AMAZING Pizza, Pasta, Calzones and more with the BEST customer service experience!
We are looking for a well-organized catering director to oversee our event catering services. As a catering director, you will finalize sales contracts and ensure that catering order forms reflect customer requirements. Your duties will include planning menus, organizing venues and equipment, and hiring catering staff if needed.
To be successful as a catering director, you should possess extensive experience in event catering and delivering cost-effective services. Top-notch catering managers build good relationships with customers and exceed expectations.
Catering Manager Responsibilities:
- Determining customer requirements and proposing catering options.
- Negotiating prices and preparing meticulous catering order forms.
- Planning menus and overseeing venue, equipment, food, and service preparations.
- Hiring, training, and supervising catering staff, as well as scheduling employee shifts.
- Tracking catering expenses and maintaining accurate records.
- Adhering to food and health industry regulations and standards.
- Researching catering trends and promoting competitive catering services.
Catering Manager Requirements:
- 1-5 years of experience in catering management, or similar.
- Exceptional ability to deliver catering services within budget and on time.
- Experience in hiring, training, and overseeing catering staff.
- The ability to apply industry knowledge to improve catering services.
- Advanced knowledge of best practices in catering management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Catering Manager Pay Cycle:
- You will be paid out weekly as a 1099. You will create your own schedule.
- You will receive 20% of each order (before tax/delivery fee if any/subtotal) (The restaurant will make the order, deliver the order, and set up the order so you only have to worry about getting the orders to the restaurant.) If you want to deliver the order and set up you will also get 100% of the tip & the delivery fee.
- You will receive your own personalized email account to use to email clients. (paid for by the company)
- You will receive your own business cards to give out to clients. (paid for by the company)
- You will receive a weekly gas allowance to go and visit potential clients to give them a free pizza/market. (paid for by the company)
- You will receive a company phone and company laptop to use. (paid for by the company)
- Think of this as your own business without the headache of making the order and delivering it (unless you want to of course to make more $$$), we want someone who thinks as a business owner and wants to make money, you can sit at home and send out emails or go market businesses and even give away a free pizza or 2 a week to get them to try out product. You create your own hours and make your own $$$.
