What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cake Decorator position at The Snackery Bakeshop?
The Cake Decorator position is for someone who has exceptional cake decorating skills, is organized, creative, works well with a team and is willing to learn.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
- Icing & decorating cakes for the resale cake display case
- Icing & decorating custom cakes for customers
- Mixing icing which requires measuring, weighing & using bakery mixer
- Icing, decorating, cutting & packaging loaf and treats for resale
- Maintaining high product quality standards
- Maintaining high standards for freshness and sanitation
- Filling customer orders & special orders including wedding cakes
- Organizing & rotating stock in the freezer utilizing proper coding & first-in, first-out rotation basis
- Assisting with other bakery duties as requested
- Maintain clean work area & tools/supplies
- Recognize & report product quality problems as soon as possible to manager on duty
- Manage time efficiently so as to fulfill all tasks & meet deadlines.
- Must be available weekday afternoon and Saturdays.
- Additional compensation for employees that want to teach classes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
