Food Preparation Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality food preparation that meets our standards for taste and presentation. Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
• Follow menu planning guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and practices to prevent contamination.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
• Familiarity with menu planning is a plus.
• Strong knife skills and ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques in food preparation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.95 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 8 per week
