The successful candidate will perform a variety of non-licensed mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance and repair on our preschools throughout the Lowcountry. Company vehicle will be supplied.
Pay range: $18-23/hour, based on experience and credentials.

Responsibilities:
- Perform minor repairs and services in all maintenance-related disciplines, including carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, painting, HVAC, etc., unrelated to building property management work
- With direction from supervisor, prioritize work orders, handle urgent requests, respond to calls as required, and complete assigned preventative maintenance work
- Help to ensure all building and maintenance policies, procedures, codes, regulations, etc., are followed and enforced, including safety systems and standards
- Handles occasional non-technical facility repairs (e.g., hanging pictures, desk repairs, ceiling repairs, etc.)
- Periodic overnight travel (one week every other month) may be required
- At least 2 to 3 years of mechanical experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial facility, with an emphasis in facility maintenance
- Previous experience with electrical, building equipment, and building repairs
- Associate's degree in HVAC or equivalent-related training
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be detail-oriented
- Climbing up and down stairs, walking on uneven and narrow surfaces
- Climbing up and down ladders
- Kneeling, bending, stretching, and stooping
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
