As a key part of our community-focused team, you'll help children build essential life skills while promoting healthy habits in a safe and supportive setting.
- Lead structured martial arts classes tailored to children’s age groups, focusing on techniques such as Karate, Judo, and other martial arts disciplines
- Design engaging activities that incorporate physical education elements like climbing, basketball, cheerleading, and swimming to promote overall fitness
- Manage behavior effectively by implementing positive reinforcement strategies and maintaining a safe environment during all activities
- Coordinate with school staff and parents to ensure smooth program operations and communicate student progress
- Supervise children during transition times between classes and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times
- Incorporate childcare best practices to foster inclusivity, respect, and teamwork among participants
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and activity spaces to ensure a professional setting conducive to learning and fun
- Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings, especially in sports coaching or martial arts instruction
- Knowledge of martial arts styles such as Karate, Judo, or similar disciplines; certification is a plus
- Experience in teaching physical education or sports activities like swimming, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or gymnastics
- Background in childcare or youth development with strong behavior management skills
- Lifeguard experience is desirable but not required; certification can be provided if necessary
- Ability to lead energetic classes while maintaining safety standards and fostering a positive atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young learners effectively
