Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Provides management support to Mail Center Operations And Mail Services to NASA HOSS II customers and NASA Stakeholders.

  • Acts as the main point of contact for customers and stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with all mail services.

  • Responsible for implementing quality control processes and monitoring performance to meet contractual requirements.

  • Play a critical role in overseeing and managing the mail services at the Mary W. Jackson NASA HQ building.

  • Ensures the efficient operation of various mail services, maintaining customer satisfaction, and managing the overall performance of Mail Center Operations and Mail Services 

 

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

 

  • Must have completed training at a USPS Training Workshop.
  • Minimum Education: High Diploma

 

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Minimum Experience Level: Manager with five (5) years of experience in mail center operations or related field.
  • Familiarity with USPS regulations and mail processing procedures.
  • Knowledge of commercial shipping methods and practices.
  • Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is typically performed in a controlled office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

Oversight of contract employees and performance.

 

 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

 

 

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have or be eligible for security clearances. May require occasional travel.
