Position Summary
The Client Services Associate is a member of the Client Services Data Administration team with main responsibilities in supporting client services operations. The incumbent will oversee cash flow of mutual fund trades, work with transfer agents and brokers to manage market-timing decisions and client account restrictions, and ensure trade discrepancies are resolved. The position is also responsible for preparing and reviewing fund performance reports, Sponsor billing, and marketing materials as required. Solid knowledge of the complexities of mutual funds trades/settlements is instrumental for the role in order to mitigate operational risks associated with mutual fund trades impacting shareholder accounts.
Essential Duties
- Review and analyze Daily cash flow and AUM for Mutual Fund trades including preparation and management of production reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain Trade reconciliation data.
- Prepare and review mutual fund performance and Fund Profiles reporting.
- Collaborate with the transfer agents and sponsors as it relates to trade issues, excessive trading, Sponsor request, Billing, NSCC activities, and ad hoc requests.
- Support third-party audit requests for client accounts.
- Maintain excessive trading system while reporting and overseeing market-timing process across U.S. and UCITS Funds.
- Prepare Sponsor billing and invoicing across US and UCITS Funds.
- Manage infomediaries data process such as Morningstar and Lipper, as well as surveys’ processes and reviews.
- Work along teammate to prepare and review Sponsor reports and records; perform ongoing stewardship of client records.
- Maintain key Mutual Funds database records such as Dividend, NAV info, Cash records, Yields, Purchases and Sales reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in the financial industry (investment management, broker/dealer)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
