What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMM Programmer/Technician position at THE TOOL & GAGE HOUSE?

The Tool & Gage House has an immediate opening for a Romer/CMM programmer (PC-DMIS) programmer/operator with our client in Griffin, GA. (Experience with other programming systems considered PC-DMIS, Zeiss, Calypso, etc). PCDMIS experience preferred.

Romer/CMM Programmer creates programs in accordance with Best Practice Metrology Standards, and requirements specified in Cat inspection plans. The position is responsible for developing and documenting automated metrology-related practices, and maintaining availability, accuracy, and revision control of all programs generated. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure resolution of inspection, data collection, and documentation issues impacting Quality & Operations efforts
  • Generation of advanced-level complexity Romer/CMM programs.
  • Provide advanced-level troubleshooting support to resolve metrology/manufacturing-related issues.
  • Identify and lead metrology-related continuous improvement initiatives where required.
  • Coordinate and implement the introduction of metrology-related software & hardware.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • High school diploma required.
  • Advanced Programming training on the CMM platform - preferred
  • 5 years of experience programming a major CMM platform - preferred.
  • 3-5 years working in a manufacturing or quality-related field within a QS-9000, ISO-9000, ISO/IEC 17025, or equivalent standard environment.
  • Completion of an advanced level GD&T training course – preferred.
  • 5 years working in a precision metrology environment – preferred.

Work Location: In person

Salary : $57,900 - $73,300
