LEASING CONSULTANT Rancho Franciscan Apartments, Santa Barbara, CA
The Towbes Group, Inc., a premier property management company for over 65 years, seeks a full-time, experienced Leasing Consultant to assist in the day-to-day operations at our senior-aged property on the Central Coast. The position is located at Rancho Franciscan Apartments, our 111-unit community located in desirable Santa Barbara, CA.
Rancho Franciscan Apartments offers beautiful garden-style living with lush surroundings to multi-story, modern units, a great location close to shopping and restaurants, impeccable interiors, state-of-the-art amenities, all within a short drive to downtown Santa Barbara and Goleta beaches, and pets are welcome! We need you to join the Rancho Franciscan Team to maintain quality services provided to our residents and help potential residents search for the perfect home.
This position requires an individual who is sales and service driven, outgoing and assertive, and who exhibits professional communication and organizational skills. As the initial contact between the public and the company, the Leasing Consultant becomes the face of the community, establishing and maintaining good relations with current and prospective renters. If you enjoy a vibrant and exciting work environment - we want to meet you!
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Professionally presenting the community while demonstrating amenities and features
- Administrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining files and records
- Assisting with the leasing process, including showing available units to prospective residents, processing rental applications, and preparing lease agreements
- Inspecting market-ready units to ensure cleanliness
- Assist in planning, preparation, and implementing community activities and events.
- Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation
- Accounts receivables/payables
- Keeping track of lease expirations and renewal notices
- Shop competition in the preparation of advertising needs, as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to tour the community with clients, including walking the community and climbing stairs
- Minimum of two (2) years in a hospitality, sales, customer service and/or marketing environment
- Detail oriented and organized; ability to interact effectively with renters, residents, peers, and management
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
- Yardi Voyager or other property management software experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to comprehend, apply, and comply with all state and fair housing laws, company policies, and business procedures
- Available to work weekends required
- A clean DMV record, valid drivers license, and proof of vehicle insurance
During the initial training period, the work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thereafter, the Leasing Consultant regular work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., however, it may be subject to change due to staffing needs or community events at Encina Meadows.
