Under general supervision, this position functions as a front-line provider of services in the seasonal maintenance and operations of the Town’s stormwater system.

- Maintains and repairs ponds, channels, outfalls, culverts, and storm sewer facilities.
- Performs manual laboring tasks including hand shoveling, rock/rip rap placement, seeding, and erosion control blanket installation.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks for drainage facilities including mowing and trimming vegetation, tree pruning, and weed management.
- Operates and maintains assigned equipment such as mowers, trimmers, pumps, compressors chain saws, power tools and small equipment necessary for the maintenance of stormwater facilities; makes minor mechanical adjustments of the same.
- Maintains records of assignments completed and provides status reports.
- Performs snow removal of parking lots, sidewalks, and trails, as needed.
- Provides traffic control by flagging and setting appropriate devices, as needed.
- Complies with all organizational values, policies procedures.
- Works flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, certification and/or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Colorado for the type of vehicle or equipment operated; safe driving record and a minimum of two (2) years of driving history.

- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other staff and the public.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Tools & Equipment
Requires frequent use of hand tools, various electric and gas-operated tools and equipment used for stormwater maintenance including, but not limited to various trucks, mowers, trimmers, sprayers, and snow removal equipment.
Physical Demands
Requires regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, handling, feeling, pinching, gripping, or operating objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, or climbing a ladder. Requires reaching overhead with hands and arms. Requires strenuous physical activity. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds and occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to one hundred (100) pounds with assistance. Requires close and distance vision acuity and the ability to adjust focus, allowing a broad field of vision.
Environment
Work is frequently performed in and outdoors with varying temperatures and conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places. The employee will consistently encounter fumes, odors, and dusts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions, extreme heat, extreme cold, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, mists, pesticides, bodily fluids and other biohazards, dead and/or decaying animal carcasses. The noise level is moderate to loud, with frequent high levels and vibrations. The employee may encounter mechanical or electrical hazards.
