Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000

Position Description
The Nurse Aide Program RN Instructor teaches The Training and Education Fund’s Nurse Aide Training Center (NATC) state-approved curriculum and serves as an advisor and mentor to students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records on all students, including all state required assessments and attendance records.
- Deliver approved curriculum to enhance knowledge and clinical skills aimed at assisting students with passing the state nurse aide examinations.
- Develop clinical rotation schedule/resident caseload in conjunction with clinical site.
- Supervise, train, and support students during clinical rotations.
- Evaluate student clinical progress daily, utilizing approved assessment tools (procedure evaluation sheets, anecdotal notes, clinical evaluation sheets, quizzes, examinations, attendance records, etc.).
- Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and safe and effective resident care and provide student remedial assistance as needed.
- Communicate timely and effectively with students, peers, and clinical site team members.
- Inventory equipment; inform the Coordinator of any needed program equipment or supplies.
- Attend and participate in the TEF NATC related meetings, as needed, in order to collaborate, align instruction, monitor student progress, and continually improve TEF’s NATC program.
- Assist with NATC audit by providing required student, curriculum, attendance and assessment information.
- Promote the mission of The Training and Education Fund NATC in a positive manner with all staff, participants, and partners, and provide a consistent exchange of information in a transparent and collaborative environment.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN); minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN and at least 1 year of long-term care experience as an RN
- Teaching the Educator (TTE) Certification (PA Department of Education) - preferred; however, will cover the cost of the certification if not already earned
- Effective and engaging presentation skills
- Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Must be flexible, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Maintain a positive attitude while providing a positive learning experience for students
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of student information, records and performance
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Must maintain current Mantoux and physical, declaring no communicable diseases are present
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
