What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Caregiver position at The Treehouse Childcare?
FULL-TIME Position (1 available) is guaranteed 30-35 hours per week! Training period will be part-time.
*MUST have experience working with children in a child care setting!
*MUST enjoy working with children and be willing to learn/grow!
*MUST be energetic with a good work ethic!
*MUST be reliable and looking for long-term employment!
*MUST be willing to attend trainings, staff meetings and staff retreats as scheduled!
*MUST be able to build positive relationships with children, families and staff!
*MUST be 18 or older!
*MUST pass a background check!
*MUST obtain CPR/First-Aid and Food Handler's Permit upon hire!
*MUST be able to work between the hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday when needed!
MORE INFO ABOUT THE JOB:
*The Treehouse Childcare is a child-directed/play-based program!
*DUTIES Include: caring for children, changing diapers, communicating with the children's families, setting up multiple activities, leading group time activities, providing positive guidance and redirection when a child is struggling, and supporting conflict resolution among the children!
*The caregiver to child ratio is 1 caregiver to 8 children (those 8 children may range anywhere from 0-8 years old and may also include 3 children between the ages of 2 months-2 years)!
*DUTIES ALSO Include: cooking and serving meals, cleaning up after the children, cleaning and organizing the environment, and any other tasks assigned throughout the day!
*Wages range from $12-13 an hour for entry-level positions and will depend on experience and availability!
