What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doggy Daycare Attendant position at The Ulti-Mutt Academy, LLC?
You will be responsible for monitoring play in our daycare program, making sure all dogs have a safe and enriching environment which includes correcting inappropriate play & problem behaviors— NOT just petting and playing with dogs!
Daycare is an interactive play environment that carries some risk. Our number one priority is SAFETY for both our staff and the dogs. Staff must be able to recognize and resolve a potential problem before it evolves. Although fights are rare, staff will be expected to carefully & quickly defuse the situation.

Doggy Day Camp Attendant:
-You WILL get jumped on, slobbered on, barked at, licked, and bumped into. This job can be loud, it will get you dirty, hairy & sometimes smelly!
-Must be willing to deal with all-weather climates. We are outside during all seasons, for varying portions of the day.
-Maintain a clean play space for the dogs, picking up and disposing of any waste (poop, pee, vomit, etc.).
-Daily cleaning including; sweeping, moping, dusting, changing mop buckets, taking out trash & poop bags, dishes, sanitizing play yards etc.
-Customer service is a MUST! You will be responsible for greeting all customers in a pleasant manner while bringing their dogs to or from day camp.
-Quick learner— have to learn dog names and pick-up on individual dog behaviors.
-Must be reliable & punctual!
Physical Requirements:
This is a physically demanding job! Can be with anywhere from 5 – 50 dogs in one group at a time with prolonged standing and walking. Must be able to move quickly in the event of an emergency.
Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes on and off leash!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.35 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
