The Universal Group is hiring Lane Closure Technicians (LCT) in Prince George.
These are unionized positions that provide applicants with competitive wages, stable work, and an excellent career environment.
In an effort to support our employees in their growth with us, we provide our field staff with industry leading training through our Universal Mentorship Program (UMP). This position also includes access to a higher wage, increased responsibilities, company truck and gas card and participation in a points program!
The Position
You will be responsible for implementing Traffic Management plans, setting up of signs and cones and closing off lanes. As a LCT, you will also oversee the TCP’s onsite thereby gaining crucial leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute effective traffic management plans with the proper equipment
- Set up, maintain and remove work zones
- Effective communication with your work partner to conduct the flow of traffic
- Lift cones and signs which may weigh up to 50 lbs

Qualifications
- TCP certification from a WorkSafeBC approved institution - we offer!
- Previous work experience as an LCT.
- A valid BC driver's license.
- Available for 5 full days between Monday-Friday.
- Maintain a standing posture for long periods of time regardless of weather conditions.
- You will be required to provide your own 6-inch upper steel-toed boots.
