Job Summary
The purpose of the Director for Football Operations job is to ensure the University assets are protected through applicable external and internal regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Football Coach with the day-to-day management and administration of all aspects of the Football staff and team as allowed by NCAA rules; including, but not limited to
- Coordinating all aspects of team travel
- Assisting with camps and clinics
- Daily support for football coaches
- Assisting with pre-season camp
- Coordinate bowl operations
- Oversight and coordination of the weekly Quarterback Club luncheons for donors and other University and community guests
- Oversight and coordination of team meals for home games, weekends, and University holidays/breaks
- Help ensure an environment that is committed to the best interests of all student-athletes consistent with their educational, ethical, social, and physical development.
- Foster a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness throughout all levels of the organization.
- Develop a clear vision and strategic plan for the department that will ensure the Departments’ success in being fiscally responsible while complying with all University regulations along with state and federal laws.
- Understand and communicate the value of athletics to the overall mission and strategic plan of the University to both internal and external constituencies.
- Effectively provide accountability for all matters within the department of athletics in collaboration with the Athletics Director.
- Additional duties as assigned by Director of Athletics or Head Football Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advance degree preferred
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with multiple constituent groups.
- Unwavering commitment to fiscal integrity and responsibility along with a proven record of upholding high ethical standards both personally and professionally.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, community, diversity, and gender equity.
- Must demonstrate an appreciation of university culture and tradition.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
