Job Summary
The Academic Recruiter will report to the Program Director of UG Success & Retention and play a critical role in increasing enrollment in the College of Liberal Arts (CoLA) undergraduate and graduate programs currently offered by the College of Liberal Arts at UT Arlington. Develop and implement strategies to attract, matriculate, and retain students. Incumbent will also be involved in the planning, execution, and assessment of student recruitment related activities and/or events.
Minimum Qualifications
Recruitment & Retention Planning:
The Academic Recruiter will report to the Program Director of UG Success & Retention and play a critical role in increasing enrollment in the College of Liberal Arts (CoLA) undergraduate and graduate programs currently offered by the College of Liberal Arts at UT Arlington. Develop and implement strategies to attract, matriculate, and retain students. Incumbent will also be involved in the planning, execution, and assessment of student recruitment related activities and/or events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of (2) two years of experience in university recruitment of student affairs and a proven record of achieving recruitment goals or seven (7) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree in relevant field.
- Bilingual – Spanish.
- Prior experience in higher education recruitment.
- Persuasive skills in marketing and recruitment, with a solid understanding of industry best practices.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Recruitment & Retention Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment and retention plans for the College of Liberal Arts (CoLA)in collaboration with the Program Director of UG Success & Retention, UTA Enrollment Management and CoLA academic units .
- Identify and leverage new marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies to increase student enrollment.
- Represent CoLA at recruitment events, including information sessions, forums, open houses, special events, receptions, and orientations.
- Conduct strategic communication with prospective students via phone, social media, email, and in-person correspondence.
- Organize and execute events designed to increase student matriculation, such as receptions, forums, college fairs, and admitted student days.
- Assist with New Maverick Orientations, Welcome Back, Family and Friends Weekend, Maverick Experience, and other recruitment and retention events as well as create and produce new events in collaboration with CoLA academic units.
- Work closely with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communication to develop and design marketing materials including brochures, flyers, wearables, giveaways, website content, and other graphic solutions to support current and future program initiatives.
- Participate in university-wide committees related to outreach and orientation.
- Assist with special projects and assignments as required by the Program Director, UG Success & Retention and CoLA Dean’s Office Administration.
