Building Services Supervisor

Job Summary

The Building Services Supervisor performs supervisory duties, directing and coordinating housekeeping and custodial staff and related services in the University’s recreational facilities, including two (2) swimming pools. Responsible for the supervision of building service employees and for organizing, planning, and directing projects for the custodial department.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver license and three (3) years of driving history.
• Three (3) years of experience working in custodial management or services.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese.
• Certified Pool Operator ( CPO ).
  
  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervises the performance of general custodial functions and trains staff in proper cleaning procedures and proper operation of all custodial equipment.
• Inspects buildings for cleanliness, completed work, and needed repairs.
• Assist in the inventorying of supplies and equipment.
• Interviews and makes hiring recommendations for custodial workers.
• Performs general cleaning and custodial work.
• Communicates/advises administrative superiors of need for building repairs and maintenance activities.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and implementing cleaning projects.
• Oversees access to campus buildings for custodial workers through key issuance.
• Works in a diverse environment. Encourages, supports, and promotes diversity initiatives.
• Drives a UTA vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
