Job Posting Title: Administrative Manager ---- Hiring Department: Molecular Biosciences ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 20 ---- FLSA Status: Exempt ---- Earliest Start Date: Immediately ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue ---- Location: AUSTIN, TX ---- Job Details: Purpose This is a part-time position that will provide high-level administrative support to MBS Principle Investigator Dr. Jason McLellan Responsibilities Manage calendars, schedule appointments, oversee meeting room reservations, assemble appropriate reference material for all/any meetings for MBS Principle Investigator Arrangement of travel of Principle Investigator, their lab members, and their guests, including, serving as a liaison to the travel agency for air travel, securing hotel accommodations, and crafting travel itineraries. Manage shared emails, filter and be a gatekeeper for Principle Investigators requests (reagents, interviews, administrative tasks, etc..) As needed coordinate with lab manager for lab ProCard, ordering, reconciliation. Be a the liaison for the Principle Investigator and Lab with the MBS administrative team Be the primary contact and liaison for all administrative tasks for Principle Investigator and MBS administrative team (payments, procurement, human resources, faculty affairs, graduate students, grants, etc..) Other duties as assigned and or special projects or program support Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma with relevant work experience. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills, attentiveness to detail and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a team member and independently. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. Demonstrated ability to exhibit tact and diplomacy in interactions with colleagues. Demonstrated flexibility in terms of mastering new technology and software. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Experience and familiarity with UT Austin structure, policies, procedures and administrative functions Salary Range $34,000 depending on qualifications Working Conditions Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished). May work around chemical fumes. May work around standard office conditions. May work around biohazards. May work around chemicals.
