    Purpose

    The Senior International Credit Analyst provides advanced credential evaluation services for prospective international student-athletes. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Athletics and Articulation, this position ensures the accurate interpretation of international academic records for admissions, transfer credit, and NCAA eligibility purposes. The role requires specialized knowledge of international education systems and close collaboration with compliance staff and academic partners.

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluate international transcripts and academic credentials to determine U.S. equivalency and assess potential transfer credit in accordance with institutional guidelines and NCAA requirements. Assist with the evaluation of non-athlete international and domestic files.
    • Prepare academic evaluations and summaries for prospective and current student-athletes to support recruitment, admissions, and ongoing eligibility determinations.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on global education systems, maintaining current knowledge of international credentialing practices and documentation standards.
    • Coordinate with athletic compliance staff to ensure evaluations align with NCAA eligibility rules, including core course verification and academic preparedness assessments.
    • Advise admissions staff, counselors, and university stakeholders on international education policies and best practices. Respond to inquiries and provide recommendations for complex or unusual academic histories.
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all evaluations and decisions in institutional systems, maintaining audit-ready records and rationales.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree. 3 years of increasing responsibility in higher education administration. 2-3 years of international credit evaluation experience. Experience working with international documents and related processes. Demonstrated success in collaborating with others in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple overlapping projects, and to work independently. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills and professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced work environment under the pressure of deadlines.

    Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

    Preferred Qualifications

    More than the required years of experience. Demonstrated knowledge of UT Austin courses and programs. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA eligibility rules and procedures. College level experience maintaining student records or files. Experience composing correspondence. Experience related to the job functions as listed. Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately and under pressure. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Slate. Experience using Cognos. Experience working with sensitive and confidential materials. Extensive familiarity with academic programs and admissions processes and procedures at UT Austin.

    Salary Range

    $55,000

    Working Conditions

    • May work around standard office conditions
    • Repetitive use of a keyboard at workstation
    • Must work on-site three days a week, and may work from home the other 2 days
    • Must have reliable home internet and approved teleworker agreement

    Employment Eligibility:

    Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.     Retirement Plan Eligibility:

    The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

    A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
