UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso) has 2 openings for assistant athletic trainers. Both positions have had a salary increase to $59,000 starting salary. UTEP is located in west Texas. El Paso has a low cost of living and is a fast-growing city and Texas has no state income tax. UTEP is currently part of C-USA but is moving to the Mountain West in 2026. We have 10 staff athletic trainers when fully staffed for 17 NCAA sports.
Sport assignments for these positions include WBB/Rifle and XC/Beach VB.
Each position will also include the following:
- Immediate start date or negotiable start as soon as possible
- $50/month cell phone stipend in addition to salary
- $1000 annual CEU allowance
- Up to 10% moving expense reimbursement for relocation
- Annual NATA dues paid
- TX state licensure dues paid
- Flexible winter break/summer hours
