What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Cath Technologist - Galveston position at The University of Texas Medical Branch?
Associates degree and ARRTR registered with one year of procedural area experience and Certified as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Department of Health. Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide competent patient care and technical skills in the operation of Cardiac Catheterization (Cardiac Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) procedures and equipment. Assist in cardiac catheterization as well as electrophysiology, vascular and interventional procedures. Competently performs emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedure. Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or electrophysiologist.
