What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geriatrician position at The University of Vermont Medical Center?
The Robert Larner MD College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center are seeking an outstanding clinician-educator for our academic geriatrics group in the Department of Medicine. This position will be 100% FTE at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the Clinical Scholar (non-tenure) pathway. The successful candidate will:
- Deliver high value primary care in a patient-centered medical home setting
- Teach, evaluate and mentor nurse practitioner students, medical students and resident physicians
- Participate in divisional and departmental efforts to improve care delivery and medical education
Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Medicine, a commitment to a career in academic general internal medicine, excellent communication skills, and a record of engagement in teaching and service.
