Summary

Ensure each customer receives exceptional customer service. Provide efficient and effective service to exceed the expectations of our customers. Promote produts and services to meet the customers needs. Strive to help improve store operations, sales, and profitability by providing an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Greets each customer within three seconds of entering the store in a friendly manner. Determines the customers needs by asking questions. Strives to exceed the customer’s expectations.

· Delivers exceptional customer service by engaging the customer in conversation. Asks the appropriate questions to determine the customers needs. Clearly explains the quality of products delivered.

· Anticipates the needs of customers prior to being asked. Takes the initiative.

· Is knowledgeable of the products and services offered and can properly promote them to the customers.

· Promotes current marketing campaign after receiving proper training.

· Identifies customers needs and offers additional services which could benefit them.

· Records all sales transactions completely and accurately in the point of sales system.

· Can identify and pack shipments that fall in the category of standard and fragile.

· Able to use the following quipment proficiently: fax machine, black-and-white copier, color copier, computer rental, passport camera, binding machine, laminator, paper cutter, mini-packer, and key machine.

· Ability to perform basic computer-related skills: Internet search, send an email with attachment, scan a document, send document to copiers for printing, print from a thumb drive or CD.

· Process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages on scale, manifesting packages using CMS, generate shipping labels, verify correct shipping information with customer.

· Ability to track packages and assist customers with simple shipping questions.

· Assists and merchandising the store, which includes: stocking of retail shelves, cleaning and organizing the appearance of retail products, informing management of low inventory and the need for reordering of supplies.

· Performs backup closing duties: see closing checklist.

· Ability to perform general housekeeping duties and all other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

To Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · Six months-two years of customer service and sales experience in a retail environment.

· Basic understanding of the point of sales (POS) and cash handling skills.

· Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills

· Ability to clearly communicate with customers and other employees using a high level of professionalism.

· Ability to ask the correct questions to obtain information needed to meet the customers needs.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to show empathy towards a customer during a stressful situation.

· Ability to successfully close a conversation with customers when customers needs were not able to be met.

Other Skills and Abilities

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

· Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, copiers and complete customer paperwork.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
