Under general direction, provides on-site service and support to ensure efficient, appropriate maintenance and administration of company’s client server system within an assigned practice. The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Daily on-site presence and must be able travel to multiple clinic locations to provide IT support to oncology practice staff and physicians
- Demonstrate an elevated level of technical understanding and skill set to support and train users across the wide range of Information Technology systems including but not limited to:
- IT Hardware
- IT Infrastructure (Servers, Networking, Telephony Systems)
- General system software (Microsoft Office 365 Applications)
- Windows Client and Server Operating Systems
- Specialty Medical Applications (EMR (ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS), Practice Management and Treatment Delivery Systems)
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Participate in needs assessments, product evaluations, security administration, implementation planning, conversion planning and verification, testing, troubleshooting, and training.
- Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
- Maintain sensitivity to communications, accuracy of work, timeliness, and professionalism
- Demonstrate patience, tolerance, and adaptability in all areas of support responsibilities with users with a wide range to technical skill level
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work independently, self-manage job queues and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Performs local on-site IT service functions including answering broad questions, remote troubleshooting, coordinating with the corporate help desk on issues, and logging or reporting problems.
- Adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) Confidentiality and Compliance standards
- Maintains all on site computer equipment including personal computers, peripherals, servers, wireless equipment, networking infrastructure, and printers.
- Provides on-site support for a medium sized population of users across multiple sites in a practice
- Conducts training on new systems/technologies for new and existing staff
- Coordinates with corporate implementations on providing local technical assistance on all office moves, new site implementation, and office expansions
- Creates and maintains appropriate IT documentation related to the operations and support of the assigned office locations and its equipment and applications
- Completion of task, up to and including testing of the workstation to assure process is functioning properly and to the satisfaction of the customer
- Provides technical advice for purchasing new computer equipment.
- Assist in planning, adherence to and maintaining the local department IT budget
- Daily on-site presence at one or more of the employee’s office locations is required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Minimum three (3) years, experience in support of Windows client-server based systems environment required
- Associates degree in Information Systems, business or equivalent related technical field experience required.
- Reliable Transportation and a valid US Driver’s License are required
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred
- A , Network or other hardware certifications preferred.
- VOIP (Voice over IP) and/or PBX Telephony System support experience preferred
- Experience in support of enterprise infrastructure:
- General Understanding and support of a Network and Connectivity
- Supporting standard desktop applications (MS Office, Antivirus, internet browsers, email) associated hardware platforms and peripherals, remote troubleshooting, and mobile computing, and troubleshooting network connectivity.
- Windows Server Environment
- Any combination of education and experience that meets the minimum qualifications and suitability to perform the job functions.
