This position under minimal supervision, coordinates corporate close and consolidated financial statements. Maintains the corporate general ledger. This individual must also possess strong multi-tasking abilities and bring positivity and passion to their work. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with general ledger maintenance including, but not necessarily limited to, preparing financial schedules, writing journal entries, reviewing G/L coding on invoices.
- Coordinates corporate close of all companies and ensures accurate monthly accruals.
- Assists Regional Accounting Offices & Controllers to ensure accurate accounting for new practices including, but not necessarily limited to, opening balance sheet and adjustments to B/S and MSA.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of a variety of records and accounts to include, but not necessarily be limited to, balance sheet and supporting detail and fixed assets records including depreciation.
- Maintains fixed asset system.
- Assists in reviewing monthly Practice Reporting Packages for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.
- Completes monthly consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Provides analyses as requested.
- May function as a lead for junior-level accounting staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related business curriculum and a minimum five years experience in public accounting or general industry accounting.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- CPA or parts passed preferred.
