Job Description: We are seeking passionate an experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a teacher you will play a pivotal role in creating a stimulating and inspiring educational experience for children while fostering strong relationships with parents and collaborating with fellow educators. At Mountain Sprouts Academy, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that children are active participants in their own learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Create and implement a Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum that is child-led and inquiry-based, encouraging exploration and critical thinking.
- Environment Design: Develop and maintain a rich, inviting, and organized learning environment that reflects the Reggio Emilia philosophy, using natural materials and documentation of children’s work.
- Observation and Assessment: Regularly observe and document children’s progress, adjusting the curriculum to meet individual and group needs. Share observations with parents, colleagues, and the children.
- Parent Engagement: Foster strong relationships with parents by conducting regular conferences, workshops, and open communication to involve them in their child’s learning journey.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and cohesive team environment that values each child’s unique abilities.
- Professional Development: Stay current on early childhood education trends and best practices, attending relevant training and workshops and completing all mandatory training through PDIS.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- Ideally, one year of experience(minimum) working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and a commitment to its principles.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Creative and adaptable, with a passion for innovation in early childhood education.
