POSTED ON 1/28/2026 CLOSED ON 2/27/2026

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Clinician position at The Viva Center?

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS ONLY FOR LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS.

The Viva Center clinician position is designed for those who are fully dedicated to mastering the art of becoming a top-notch clinician. The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner, appreciating the many opportunities for clinical growth and mastery that are available at Viva. One of Viva’s core values is based in diversity, understanding that just as every human is unique, so too are treatment options along with ultimate solutions for optimized mental health.

Clinicians will focus their time on seeing clients individually or in groups. Our ideal candidates for this position are trained in or interested in a non-talk-based or expressive treatment modality, with an interest in growing as a trauma-informed practitioner. To complement clinical work when not seeing clients, the Viva Clinician is expected to be engaged in self-care, supervision, Viva visibility efforts, training, and clinical reading.

The Viva Center Founder, Dr. Julie Lopez, is an adopted person who has dedicated her career to understanding the adoption constellation and their particular presentations. Those clinicians considered adoption competent would also be a welcome addition to the team!
