This entry level role is key to supporting the operations planning/scheduling team.
Responsibilities
- Execute planning report based on direction from Material Planner
- Assist in expediting and de-expediting work orders and purchase orders
- Release work orders and purchase orders to preferred/approved suppliers
- Collaborate with purchasing in the evaluation of current/approved suppliers
- Maintain positive communications with internal/external “customers” for raw materials, finished goods, supplies, and services (Customer Service, Suppliers, Inter-plant, operations, etc.)
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and internal traffic department
- Assure proper approval, accounting, and processing controls are maintained
- Review and close work orders
- Inventory and interplant receiving
- Manage material issues to work order
- Inventory counting
- Manage/prepare shipment information
- Prepare metric data and daily information reports
- Prepare shop packets
- Involvement in continual improvement efforts
- Various administrative duties and JDEdwards/supporting system transaction processing
- Other job task as assigned
Qualifications
- High School or GED required, Associates degree in operation/supply chain or business preferred
- 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle simultaneous tasks under pressure
- Analytical and math skills
- Manufacturing familiarity
- Familiarity and working knowledge of quality systems

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time
