Housekeeping Houseperson

Starting from $18.0 to $20.00 an hour/ Full-Time 

To perform a combination of tasks which maintain the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner.

Classification: Non-Exempt

Operational Reports to: Executive Housekeeping Director and Housekeeping Supervisors

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

• Housemen duties include assisting in the housekeeping department to clean common areas;
• Removing dirty linens and trash from guest rooms;
• Supplies clean linen to linen closets on assigned floors.
• Removes soiled linen from the floors to the linen room.
• Removes trash and debris from the floors and brings it to the compactor.
• Replenishes guest room supplies in the linen closets.

• Moving furniture;
• Responding on guest's requests and inquiries;
• Maintaining pool area and grounds;
• Maintain high standards of safety
• Respond promptly and courteously to any request;
• Maintain clean service areas at all times;
• Maintain a professional and personable appearance;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1 yr of hotel experience preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays;

• Regularly works in both Indoor and outdoor environments.
• Ability to move up to 100 lbs..
•  Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting or lifting overhead 20-50 or more pounds.
• Physical activities include walking, talking, standing, stooping, hearing, seeing, talking, bending, reaching, fingering, feeling, touching, writing, grasping, handling, stretching, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching up and down, and remain stationary at times throughout work periods.
• Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders and back is required.
