- Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors through verification procedures, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas.
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry while maintaining a visible security presence.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate disputes effectively.
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
- Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records accurately for future reference and compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is preferred; military background is a plus.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and conflict management is highly desirable; ongoing training is encouraged.
- Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to minimize theft and safeguard assets.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while standing or walking for extended periods.
