What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Wine Bar?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check customers' identification to verify their age and ensure legal drinking age compliance
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as needed to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the bar
Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and various drink recipes
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with a diverse clientele
- Experience working in banquet or event settings is a plus
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Basic math skills for accurately calculating bills and making change
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
