Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Loan Portfolio Manager to play a critical role in our commercial lending team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who excels at keeping a loan portfolio up to date, supporting loan officers, and directly assisting both current clients and Credit Union partners.
*Note: Loan presentation preparation is not part of this role's responsibilities*
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively collect client financial documentation to ensure files are up to date and Annual Reviews are completed on time
- Serve as a strategic liaison between credit analysts, loan officers, and borrowers throughout the loan underwriting, onboarding, and post-close process
- Support the growth and retention of the commercial lending loan portfolio by effectively managing borrower and Credit Union requests for assistance
- Monitor the portfolio for credit risks including adherence to credit policies, concentration guidelines and deterioration in credit quality.
- Establish relationships with current clients to assist in loan retention, growth, and process satisfaction
- Complete assigned projects independently and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Minimum of five years of experience in a commercial lending or related role. Formal credit training is a plus.
- Attention to detail, the ability to collaborate, and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner will be critical to success in the role.
- Must be able to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- The ability to travel when needed (for site visits, conferences, credit union visits, etc.)
