Marketing Coordinator

The Woolly Thistle is looking to hire a full-time Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator is a key role that will directly impact the success of our marketing efforts. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Leadership Team as well as the Marketing Team to develop and execute our marketing plans and strategies.

S/he will be responsible for the coordination of email, social media, affiliates, organic traffic and paid ads campaigns, and will help to develop new marketing strategies as our company grows. At this time, we seek a local candidate who can work in our West Lebanon, NH office.

The ideal candidate will exhibit related work experience relevant to the role. Effective written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail are key. A bachelor’s degree demonstrating critical thinking and high quality writing skills is valued.

Familiarity with yarn and knitting are not required, but a keen interest to learn about both will be essential for success in the position.

Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Leadership and Marketing teams to coordinate, execute and evaluate our marketing campaigns. Much like a conductor of an orchestra, the Marketing Coordinator will lead the execution of our Marketing efforts and make sure that our marketing efforts are in harmony.
• Fluency and insightful knowledge in digital marketing software, especially Shopify & Klaviyo.
• Collaborating with the Email Coordinator to target email content to the appropriate audience in a timely manner while ensuring the effectiveness of segmenting, testing and scheduling.
• Assess, optimize and manage our Email Flows.
• Grow various organic marketing efforts including our Affiliate program (and manage our Affiliates’ needs).
• Optimize our loyalty program to encourage our existing customers to continue shopping with us.
• Oversee and coordinate the production of our Shopcast (show notes, scripts, product focus, prizes, set-up etc) to keep it in line with our upcoming marketing campaigns.
• Track key Marketing metrics and report to the Leadership Team and assist in evaluating and extrapolating information from the metrics to assist in decision-making.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Traits, skills and values we seek in the right candidate:

• 3 years of online Marketing experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher showing critical thinking and excellent written skills.
• A high level of attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ready competence in using and understanding Shopify and Klaviyo.
• Familiarity and an understanding of Marketing metrics (Google Analytics and Shopify reporting).
• The ability to work effectively within a team and independently, including a willingness to search for answers and problem-solve when required.
• A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and an enthusiasm for new challenges to master.
• Agility in responding to external and internal deadlines, changes of priorities.

What to expect:

• This position will act as the Marketing hub within the Marketing Team and coordinate all marketing efforts performed by specialists within the team ensuring quality, timeliness, and continuity throughout our messaging. The Marketing Team includes: Email Coordinator, Engagement Coordinator, Ecommerce Coordinator, Copywriters, and Customer Service.
