Position Overview: This is a position as a LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT. As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at the Worx, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality care to our patients. From hands-on assistance during therapeutic exercises to educating patients on at-home rehabilitation techniques, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others every day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans to improve patients' mobility, strength, and function.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to patients during therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Monitor patients' progress and communicate observations to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on prescribed exercises and techniques for at-home rehabilitation.
- Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation under the direction of the physical therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- CPR certification required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
