JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for supporting the safe and efficient organization and operation of the Administrative departments of Mountain Modern with a focus on Human Resources support. To support and oversee the administrative hotel operations in accordance with standards and guidelines established by The Yarrow Group.

Internal: All Mountain Modern employees; Yarrow Group Corporate HR Team

External: Hotel guests, vendors and suppliers; local community leaders; travel industry partners; and

local government officials

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s and/or Associates degree preferred not required
  • Human Resources and/or related certification
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong customer service aptitude and ability
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Be an active team player and ability to collaborate across teams

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supports and manages the HR functions within the hotel.
  • Onboarding, offboarding, policy signatures, tracking
  • Manages uniforms for all employees.
  • Responsible for office supply management
  • Assists managers in monitoring the adherence by employees to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
  • Educates on contents of the employee handbook during onboarding.
  • Administers training programs to assist employees to comply with general hotel administrative responsibilities
  • Tracks and audits driving and motor vehicle records documentation.
  • Tracks and audits compliance with human trafficking regulations, VENZA, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, and Active Shooter training
  • Ensures compliance with employment-related regulatory requirements.
  • Develops P&P’s for hotel operations that fall outside of typical departmental functions.
  • Initiates and maintains effective communication within department, and between all other departments and staff at property
  • Provides feedback to management on specific needs of employees when necessary
  • Attends daily 9:00 AM departmental meeting
  • Manages recycling program within the hotel
  • Watches for safety hazards and rectify effectively
  • Participates in all projects, programs, and assignments to ensure that administrative office guidelines and procedures are being followed.
  • Develops a positive rapport with all stakeholders
  • Is aligned with the culture, values, goals, and human resource programs of The hotel and The Yarrow Group
  • Always maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Handling General Staff inquiries
  • Navigation and assistance with navigating HRIS
  • Hotel J-1 & H2B employee coordination and communication
  • You Matter to Me program administration
  • Employee Housing coordination including monthly inspections of common areas and quarterly for all rooms
  • Employee Relations assistance where necessary
  • Serves as an HR point of contact for The hotel
  • Serves as the key conduit for communication for staff, i.e., skip pass info, pay & benefits related info, health related info, employee events, any emergency related info, Home Office communication to hotel staff
