Description
A Transporter is responsible for transporting clients from the designated pick-up location to designated drop-off location(s). Their duties may include using a navigation system to map their route and delivering clients to the correct addresses in a timely manner. Be available for on-call during your designated shift.
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license and per insurance requirements be at least 30 years of age.
- Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations.
- Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspection and report deficiencies to shop immediately.
- Report improper operation, faulty equipment and unusual conditions to the Truck Fleet & Service Manager utilizing the proper vehicle inspection report paperwork.
- Transport clients to and from destinations.
- Arrive at destinations on schedule.
- Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays.
- Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
- Interact with clients professionally at all times.
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled, cleaned and ready for use.
- Complete proper paperwork to submit for each call.
- Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date.
- All other duties as assigned.
