Account Director

The Zimmerman Agency, a nationally recognized agency located in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking an experienced account management professional for the position of Account Director. This is a senior-level, in-office role leading an established team and managing a portfolio of high-profile accounts across the travel category.

We are looking for a candidate with at least 8 years of agency experience in account management. Strong leadership, a proven ability to manage client relationships, and a track record of delivering integrated campaigns are essential. The ideal candidate values the balance between strategic insight and creative execution and is ready to leverage the opportunities presented by AI and emerging technologies. Experience in the travel category is helpful, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate an established team of account professionals, driving collaboration and high standards.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and long-term planning.
• Create and implement strategic plans that deliver growth and innovative, creative solutions for clients.
• Supervise account group providing expert counsel and proactive communication.
• Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends and champion the use of new technologies and data-driven approaches.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years’ agency experience in account management.
• Strong understanding of both strategic and creative agency disciplines.
• Experience working across digital and traditional channels, with an interest in AI and new technologies.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• In-office, full-time role based in Tallahassee, Florida.
• Experience in the travel category is a plus but not required.
