What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at TheASPTeam?
Our client is a multi-generation family-owned and run manufacturer in South Seattle. They are seeking a full-cycle Controller to replace their tenured retiring Controller. The role will report to the President and oversee all GL and Operational Accounting and compliance. This small business is profitable and stable.
Responsibilities
- Process/review all A/P, A/R, Payroll and state and local taxes.
- Reconcile all G/L accounts; file all state and local taxes.
- On a quarterly basis, prepare and review accrual-based financial statements with the President.
- Maintain all union and other reporting compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of small business Controllership experience (at least $5M in revenue).
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, or experience with inventory and Work In Progress is nice to have.
- Willingness to work in a stable business that is not high growth.
