What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outpatient Therapist position at Therapeutic Connections, LLC?
Position Summary
The outpatient therapist will provide intensive clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with identified behavioral health diagnosis. The outpatient therapist will assist with the specific mental health needs of the identified client as they relate to their diagnosis.
The outpatient therapist will provide services virtually, in office, in-home or other approved/appropriate community settings.
Services are provided with client-centered and family- centered approaches and are delivered through intensive, time-limited, goal specific interventions.
Work Functions and Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to the client’s treatment.
- Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy.
- Assess clients’ mental conditions based on review of client information, interviews, observation, test and collaboration with other staff.
- Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on diagnosis, clinical experience/knowledge, and clients presenting problems.
- Conduct initial assessment and refer clients to internal or community resources as necessary.
- Provide clinical documentation and assure that all filing of clinical information and submission of billing information is done accurately and within the time frame required.
- Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations and standards, including COMAR regulations.
- Attend weekly supervision with the Clinical Director.
- Attend Group Supervision/Team Meetings monthly.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from accredited university.
- Experience providing diagnostic assessments and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood.
- Valid license to proactive therapy in Maryland; LCSW-C, LCSW, LMSW, LGPC, and LCPC.
- Valid malpractice insurance
- Available to work a flexible work schedule including evenings.
- Superb organizational skills.
- Ability to guide, direct or influence people.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families.
- Must have a current and valid Maryland driver’s license in accordance with Maryland DMV driver’s license eligibility requirements.
- Prior experience working with youth, adolescents, and adults in an urban environment is preferred.
Salary : $55 - $60
