Analyst, Global Strategic Pricing
How will you make an impact?
The Global Strategic Pricing team - part of the Corporate Global Business Services unit within Thermo Fisher Scientific - is seeking a Pricing Analyst in Carlsbad, CA. The Pricing Analyst drives the strategies, processes, and systems used to develop, implement, and maintain standard pricing methods around the organization. Additionally, this leadership role will own and implement pricing processes across various dimensions of the company influencing all pricing decisions in coordination with Commercial, Product Management, Marketing, and General Management leaders.
What you will do?
- Demonstrate strategic and thoughtful ways of using quantitative and qualitative pricing approaches using statistical techniques and data science.
- Use creative ways of building and conveying thoughts on projects and areas of opportunity.
- Support pricing excellence by connecting and reviewing price improvement opportunities for division and regional partners while driving actions to achieve these pricing goals.
- Deliver excellence and creativity in analytical output.
- Deliver above and beyond our business partners' expectations.
- Demonstrate the ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with business partners will be a strength in this role.
How you will get here?
- Bachelor’s in business, finance, scientific field, mathematics, operations, or any related field. An advanced degree in business or a technical field is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Solid understanding of working in large data sets with SQL Server, Excel, and/or other quantitative methods. Being familiar with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc; skills for coding (R, Python, or any relational databases) are an asset.
- Interest in understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies
- Be oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects
- Communicate clearly, present eloquently, and can explain just about anything to anyone.

- Connect across business groups and geographic boundaries (up to 20% travel).
