Engineering Technician
Position summary: The Engineer applies engineering principles to support the design, development, and optimization of TFT’s processes and products while assisting with documentation, analysis, and customer interactions. This role also involves conducting simulations, evaluating designs, and contributing to the continuous growth of TFT’s engineering capabilities. The Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Director.
Role qualifications:
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong team player that works effectively and efficiently in a collaborative Team environment.
• Proficient in M365, ERP knowledge helpful.
• CAD experience is preferred
• Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
Position responsibilities:
• Support TFT Engineers with the design, development and implementation of TFT’s processes and products.
• Apply knowledge of various Engineering skills to problem solving and design activities.
• Prepare and utilize the Document Management System (DMS) to follow; procedures, work instructions, and methods to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained.
• Work with TFT team on process of customer interaction from initial inquiry for product or service to shipment to customer.
• Work both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally on sketches, drawings, renderings, and presentations.
• Interacts with the TFT engineering team to determine the needs and problems involving components.
• Work with the Engineering Team to develop and execute design plans and programs to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of company products and/or services.
• Calibrate and operate TFT’s Test and Measure Equipment.
• Perform advanced simulations to achieve desired output through optimization.
• Analyze TFT, Vendor and Customer designs for viability.
• Provide proposals for continued growth of TFT’s engineering capabilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
