Scientist, TRV NewCo

We are a stealth company developing novel infectious disease treatments. You are a diligent, high-energy scientist with diverse experiences and interests in molecular and cell biology with a passion for bringing important and life-saving treatments to patients.

In this position you will be part of an energizing and supportive startup culture working across all stages of drug development (from preclinical to clinical stage) as an integral member of an exceptional team.

Responsibilities:

Critical contributor to a high-velocity, complex project from discovery to IND-enabling and early clinical development, including:

• Alignment on research strategy, conduct critical review of technical data and manage research program priorities
• Serving as technical lead for outside collaborations (e.g., CRO, SRA, etc.) by conducting scientific evaluations and advising supervisor and company senior leadership on resource needs
• Present scientific progress and strategy to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Communicate effectively in high-pressure environments to ensure alignment across programs
• Manage any direct reports (Research Associate-level) and CROs, ensuring adherence to strict project deadlines and deliverables.
• Propagate and maintain BSL2 and BSL2 pathogens)
• Maintain cell lines (primary and laboratory) through routine cell culture
• Process and utilize preclinical (e.g., mouse, rat or NHP) and clinical samples (e.g., serum, PBMCs) for IND-E and early clinical studies
• Utilize molecular and cell biology techniques for assays, including qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, microscopy, IFA

Minimum Experience:

• PhD in cell biology, immunology, infectious disease or related field
• 0 to 2 years laboratory experience with experience in biotechnology or industry preferred
• Experience working with clinical samples and primary cell lines
• Experience with flow cytometry, qPCR and other basic molecular biology
