Job Specific Duties 

• Patient Assistance: Assist in serving meals to patients, ensuring adherence to dietary restrictions and preferences, and providing friendly and courteous assistance to enhance the patient experience.

• Tray Delivery Management: Manage the prompt and accurate delivery of meal trays to patient rooms, overseeing the process to guarantee patient satisfaction.

• Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrate and encourage a culture of outstanding customer service among team members, addressing inquiries or requests promptly and effectively.

• Effective Communication: Facilitate clear communication between team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient meal delivery and support services.

• Safety and Sanitation Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety and sanitation protocols during food handling and delivery, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Patient Support: Provide hands-on assistance to patients with basic needs, such as adjusting bed positions or providing additional amenities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

• Coaching and Development: Identify opportunities for improvement and provide ongoing coaching and training to team members, helping them develop their skills and grow within their roles.

• Special Project Coordination: Collaborate with management to assist with special projects, events, and additional tasks as needed to support the overall operations and goals of the hospital kitchen and broader hospital community.

What you will need  

• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Physical ability to lift and carry trays and navigate hospital corridors.
• Basic understanding of dietary restrictions and food safety principles.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in patient care or customer service is a plus.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with hospital staff to ensure patient satisfaction.
