The Role

The field Chief Data and AI Officer acts as an industry thought leader and trusted advisor and partner for ThoughtSpot customers. The analytics and AI center of excellence (AiCE) works collaboratively across marketing, sales, and product to drive brand awareness, share best practices in leveraging data and AI for business impact, and accelerate customer journeys. This team collaborates on podcasts, blogs, and events as part of thedatachief.com community of CDAOS, CAOS, and line of business analytics leaders.


Location(s): San Francisco or Chicago


What You’ll Do

  • Create original presentations and keynotes for Beyond, Data Chief events, and flagship industry conferences such as MIT CDO Forum and Big Data.
  • Author blogs, articles, e-books, and support press interviews and guest on third party podcasts.
  • Inspire and build trusted relationships with CIOs, CDAOs, VPs of Business analytics for our top 20 customers
  • Develop relationships with strategic partners
  • Participate in executive briefing centers and quarterly business reviews with top customers.
  • Host and facilitate CxO round tables to strategize on challenges and best practices.
  • Participate on-site or virtually with key customers on Innovation, Analytics, and Agentic AI Days
  • Drive thought leadership and awareness on social media.


What You Bring

  • Domain expertise in cloud data platforms, AI and analytics landscape and trends, culture change, data and AI fluency, generative AI.
  • 10 years experience in the data and analytics industry in a leadership position, having served as a data leader, consultant or industry analyst


In California, the estimated annual base salary range for this role is $250k– $290k per year.

In Illinois, the estimated annual base salary range for this role is $200k - $230k per year.

Actual compensation may vary and will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location of the selected candidate.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits.


Hybrid Work at ThoughtSpot

This office-assigned role is available as a hybrid position.

Spotters assigned to an office are encouraged to experience the energy of their local office with an in-office requirement of at least three days per week. This approach balances the benefits of in-person collaboration and peer learning with the flexibility needed by individuals and teams.
