Role Description
This is a Part-time, on-site Seamstress/Tailor position based in Boston, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including creating custom garments, performing intricate alterations, conducting fittings, and tailoring garments to meet client specifications. You will work directly with clients to understand their needs, troubleshoot alterations, and deliver high-quality results with a focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in Dressmaking and Tailoring, with experience in creating, altering, and reconstructing garments.
- Proficiency in conducting fittings and ensuring client satisfaction through precise and customized adjustments.
- Strong interpersonal and Communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their requirements.
- Customer Service skills to provide a positive and personalized experience for clients.
- Ability to work with a wide range of fabrics, including delicate materials such as lace and silk, and expertise in handling both formal and everyday garments.
- Capable of operating a Juki Industrial machine (Model #DDL8700).
- Prior experience in a tailoring or sewing environment is required
- Attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
